Periodontal Treatment Plans
Periodontal treatment plans can include a variety of surgical and nonsurgical therapies. A Periodontist or gum specialist will evaluate the patient's smile and determine the extent and severity of the gum disease along with the most appropriate treatment methods. Periodontal treatments available at our office include crown lengthening, antimicrobial treatments, scaling and root planing, bone grafts, soft tissue grafts, dental implants and pocket reduction surgery.
Each patient will benefit from a personalized treatment plan that includes preventive and restorative treatments. Each stage of the treatment process will be designed to restore and improve the periodontal health for a smile that will last a lifetime.
Special Gum Treatment & Gum Surgery
Receding gums and gum infection require gum treatment and possible surgery. When receding gums are left untreated, chances of bone loss and periodontal disease as well as tooth loss increases. To stop gum recession , bone loss, and to prevent further dental problems, treatments like scaling and root planing, gingival graft, and osseous surgery may be required. To improve a patients' smile cosmetically, gum bleaching, gum reduction treatment, and gum grafting may also be required.
Scaling and Root Planing: ( gum disease, gum treatment, deep cleaning)
Scaling and root planing done in our Yonkers office is one of the most effective ways to treat gum disease before it becomes severe. Root planing and scaling (deep cleaning) cleanses the root surface of the teeth, beneath the gum line.
